Trump's Candid Views

The Washington Post just released a three minute jaw-dropping 2005 video between Republican nominee Donald Trump and Billy Bush, a radio/television host and cousin to President George W. Bush. In the audio, it does not appear Trump or Bush knew their microphones were on while they made crass statements about groping women and using their “star status” to make sexual advancements. Trump stated, “You know I’m automatically attracted to beautiful — I just start kissing them. It’s like a magnet. Just kiss. I don’t even wait.” He later said, “And when you’re a star, they let you do it…You can do anything…Grab them by the p****.”

Trump’s candid views on women has gone viral. The consensus from multiple sources is: Trump’s woman problem just got worse. People are seriously questioning whether this man could be President. His words were describing sexual assault. Close advisors to Trump are said to be left dumbfounded and disappointed by his remarks. And with less than two days for the next Presidential debate, his team is in damage-control. Many are left wondering if Trump has just sunk his Presidential campaign.

Reaction

Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton took to her twitter and made the following statement, “This is horrific. We cannot allow this man to become president.”

Billy Bush has issued a statement apologizing for his behavior in the video. He stated, “[he]was younger, less mature, and acted foolishly in playing along”. Some question if he will appear at his current job on the Today’s show after Sunday’s debate.

Trump has also apologized. He called his words “locker room banter”. But many people tonight, including Republicans, are wondering if that apology is enough.
