A NASA depiction was done to show how a passing star is destroyed after coming close to a blackhole.

Blackholes are mysterious regions in space. Its gravitational pull is very intense and nothing can escape it, including matter and light itself. Blackholes can be small and massive. Since blackholes do not contain light, it is  difficult to see them. They are found by scientist looking at the behavior of surrounding stars with the use of space telescopes and other tools.
