Reflections: Don’t Let Fear Stop You

Fear.fear

Dictionary.com defines fear as, “a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined; the feeling or condition of being afraid”.

It is important to note that fear can be “aroused by impending danger” and “the threat [ can be ] real or imagined”.

For example, you may dream of starting a new business, traveling, or starting a new career but the fear of failure has stopped you from taking action. There is no guarantee you will fail. This could be an imagined notion you have conjured up in your mind. In fact, you may be very successful at whatever venture you choose to focus on, but your fear of failure has paralyze you from taking action.

No one can afford having fear in their life. You cannot replace the time you lose due to fear. You need to stop going through the motions of life and start truly living your dreams.

Walt Disney may have had faults as a man, but he once said, “The way to get started is to quit talking and begin doing.” Start taking action today. If you fail, don’t stress it. You have at least tried. You have already accomplished what many people have failed to do.
