The Game of Thrones Season 7 trailer has premiered!
Are you as excited as we are?
The trailer gives a summary of what happens in the series so far. Ending in a bone-chilling climax.
Here is the breakdown:
The video opens up to a low rumble from a three-headed roaring Targaryen dragon. Khalessi/Daenerys can be heard saying, “I know what my father was. What he did. The Mad King earned his name.”
The Mad King (Aerys Targaryen) can be heard saying, “Burn them all!”
Then we see a Baratheon stag ramming its horns in the mouth of one of the dragons. Robert Baratheon says, “I will kill every Targaryen I get my hands on.”
Suddenly we see a lion attacking the stag and Cersei Lannister says, “Everyone who isn’t us is an enemy.”
We then see a Direwolf – representing House Stark. Joffrey Baratheon says, “Ser Ilyn, bring me his head.”
The tentacles of House Ironborn start to wrap around what appears to be House Stark’s Direwolf while Balon Greyjoy remarks, “We are Ironborn. We take what is ours.”
Cunning Roose Bolton remarks, “The Lannisters send their regards.” Catelyn Stark is heard screaming. Giving a nod to the Red Wedding.
With the camera focused on what appears to be a vines around the lion’s paw, Olenna Tyrell says, ” You don’t think I’d let you marry that beast, do you?” Referring to Purple Wedding.
Then the High Septon says, “I now proclaim Cersei of the House Lannister ‘Protector of the Seven Kingdoms’ ” while the eerie glow of green wildfire explodes burning the Tyrell’s sigil!
Daenerys Targaryen speaks again. Stating, “Lannister, Targaryen, Baratheon, Stark, Tyrell. They’re all just spokes on a wheel. This one’s on top, then that one’s on top, and on and on it spins. Crushing those on the ground.” The three-headed dragon appears to wrap around the rest of the sigils.
All of this dialog and symbolism of the sigils represents the history of Houses conflict with each other in the Seven Kingdoms. In dramatic fashion, all of the sigils start to break apart and crumble into dust.
Ned Stark voice echoes, ” Same thing is coming for all of us.”
While our beloved Jon Snow says, “There’s only one war that matters – the great war. And it is here”, we see this eerie ‘Children of the Forest’ pattern the White Walkers keep creating.
We suddenly see the camera pan out and we realize we are looking at the icy blue eye of the Night King! Then the date ” 7·16″ flashes on the screen.

- This season will only have seven episodes.
- The war between men and the White Walkers is gearing up
- Daenerys Targaryen looks poised to shake things up in the Seven Kingdoms.
- Cercei is in power and appears more crazed than ever.
